Deadline extended for AT&T data breach claims in $177M settlement | Dollars & Sense

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A judge has extended the deadline for AT&T customers affected by two data breaches to file claims in a $177 million class-action settlement connected to leaked personal information.

Sacramento-based financial advisor and coach Maureen Paley said people should watch closely for notifications about whether their data was compromised.

“You should be getting information from a law agency that will reach out and say hey your information was compromised and you can be part of the settlement, so it’s important to look at your emails. It’s also important to look at your postal mail,” Paley said…
