Three people were arrested Thursday after a violent robbery in the parking lot of SF Supermarket on Stockton Boulevard in South Sacramento, where a shopper was dragged along the pavement as thieves sped off with her purse. Surveillance video shows a car pulling up beside the woman as she loaded groceries, a suspect yanking her bag, and the vehicle taking off while she clung on for a few harrowing moments. Sheriff’s detectives say an investigation later tied the occupants of that car to the attack.
Video And What Happened
According to CBS Sacramento, the theft happened on Oct. 22. In the surveillance footage, three people can be seen in a second vehicle. One person gets out, grabs the shopper’s purse and jumps back into the car while she hangs on. Deputies say the car then speeds away, dragging the woman briefly before she falls to the ground. Investigators later found the suspect vehicle hours after the robbery.
Arrests And Suspects
Robbery detectives and Central POP deputies arrested 23-year-old James Freeman, 22-year-old Anthony Richard and a juvenile on Thursday, according to ABC10. Officials said Richard was already behind bars on an unrelated robbery case when these arrests were announced. Authorities have not yet released a full list of formal charges.

In a post from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, officials said Freeman and Richard are ineligible for bail, while information about the juvenile suspect is being kept confidential under juvenile court rules.
