California State Prison-Sacramento (CSP-SAC) announced the death of Correctional Officer Marcus Monzon on December 3, 2025. Officer Monzon started with the department in April 2024 at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center in Galt. He graduated from the Basic Correctional Officer Academy and began working at CSP-SAC in July 2024.
