DUI Checkpoint Scheduled in Sacramento on December 12

The Sacramento Police Department will hold a DUI checkpoint on Friday, December 12, from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The checkpoint will take place within city limits. Police selected the location based on data about impaired driving-related crashes.

Sergeant Anna Mahoney said impaired driving includes alcohol, certain medications, and marijuana. First-time DUI offenders may face fines and penalties averaging $13,500 and a suspended license.
