Sacramento Confirmed as Host City for X Games Summer Debut in 2026, Introducing New X Games League

The long-awaited Sacramento debut of the X Games is finally setting into motion, with organizers confirming the city will play host to the summer event from June 26-28, 2026. According to a KCRA 3 report, the extreme sports competition will be sited at Cal Expo and will also introduce the X Games League, a new venture that had pushed the original event date back.

“Sacramento is proud to bring such a world-class event to both residents and tourists,” Mike Testa, president and CEO of Visit Sacramento, said in a statement obtained by KCRA 3. There’s a concert component that we didn’t have before. So you’ll see some music acts. You’ll see the sports competition. So it’s become a lot more robust than when we first started talking about it,” Testa told KCRA 3. The roster of athletes for the Sacramento event will materialize following a draft scheduled on March 5 in Los Angeles, as the buildup to the summer games continues…
