VIDEO: Sacramento Cops Stop RV, Say They Find Silenced Machine Gun And Coke Inside

A routine traffic stop on Florin Road turned into something far more serious when Sacramento police say they pulled a machine gun with a silencer, ammunition and cocaine out of an RV parked on city streets.

On Dec. 1, officers with the Sacramento Police Department’s South Problem Oriented Policing unit stopped the RV in the 3800 block of Florin Road and, according to the department, found the illegal weapon and drugs inside. The RV’s owner, identified as 63-year-old Gary Elliott of Sacramento, was arrested on weapons and drug-related charges, and officers say he was on probation at the time. The discovery has raised uncomfortable questions about how prohibited weapons and narcotics were being stored in a vehicle sitting in public view.

According to a Facebook reel posted by the Sacramento Police Department, SPOP officers initially stopped the RV after noticing expired registration, then searched the interior.
