Construction starts on new North Sacramento library expected to open in 2027

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Construction started last month on a new North Sacramento library, officials said.

In 2021, the city of Sacramento bought the former Sacramento News & Review headquarters, a 19,000-square-foot building located at 1124 Del Paso Blvd., with plans to convert it into the North Sacramento-Hagginwood Library, according to a city news release.
