Metro Fire responds to apartment fire in Orangevale

Fire officials responded to the fire around 3:40 p.m. at 9181 Madison Avenue, where they found a well-involved fire in a first-floor apartment that had extended into a second-floor unit.

Metro Fire said firefighters aggressively attacked the inside and conducted a search of the building to ensure everyone was out of the building.

The blaze was extinguished around 3:55 p.m., with damage being contained to the first-floor apartment.
