FedEx truck crash in Sacramento leads to outage, midtown freeway ramp closure

A FedEx truck on Monday afternoon struck a utility pole that caused a power outage and forced authorities to close the P Street exit ramp from the southbound lanes of the Capital City Freeway in Sacramento.

The vehicle crash was reported about 2:20 p.m. just off the southbound lanes of the Capital City Freeway at the P Street exit, California Highway Patrol online dispatch records show.

The FedEx truck appeared to be heading the wrong way on 29th Street when it struck the utility pole. No injuries had been reported…
