SACRAMENTO, Calif. — On Christmas Eve, while many families gathered around the table, hundreds of people in Sacramento had nowhere to go. One local partnership stepped in to make sure no one was forgotten, offering more than just a meal.
At Loaves and Fishes in Sacramento, volunteers arrived early, cooking, plating and preparing to serve up to 1,000 people without housing. The effort brought together community members focused on ensuring people were cared for during the holiday.
