Woman Found Dead in Orangevale Home Amid Gas Leak; Authorities Conducting Investigation

A tragic incident left one woman dead in an Orangevale home following a gas leak that led to evacuations and road closures in the neighborhood, as reported by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. This Tuesday afternoon event caused a stir around 2:30 p.m. along Mountain Avenue, prompting responses from Sacramento Metro Fire and sheriff’s deputies, as per a statement obtained by ABC10.

The area was marked by precautionary measures, authorities evacuated residents nearby, and Mountain Avenue between Cherry and Golden Gate Avenues stood closed while crews worked to contain the leak, returning the area to safety and allowing those displaced to come back home, after the gas leak was isolated and dealt with, the residents were in due course allowed to return, yet in the midst of this, a deeper sorrow was uncovered within the home on the 7800 block of Mountain Avenue. A deceased adult woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, was found inside, sparking an investigation, with sheriff’s officials stating “There is nothing outwardly suspicious or criminal as of right now,” according to Lt.
