After more than 15 years on a busy stretch of Folsom Boulevard in East Sacramento, a Mexican diner will close its doors later this month.
Cafe Capricho’s owners are preparing to sunset the restaurant in the next two weeks, according to a Facebook announcement Monday morning.
“We are retiring,” the post reads. “(We) want to thank you for your kind and generous support throughout the 15 1/2 years that Cafe Capricho has been in business.”
Owner Marina Winchester opened her restaurant at 3269 Folsom Blvd., in May 2010, according to the restaurant’s website. In honor of her Mexico City-area upbringing, Winchester serves central and southern Mexican dishes and includes some American features to the menu — namely a line of burgers…
