A 40-year-old caretaker found himself behind bars after Sheriff’s deputies resolved a tense barricade situation at a Marconi Avenue home in Sacramento, confirmed the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. An encounter spiraled out of control when Jesse Halleib allegedly threatened to assault the 77-year-old woman he was caring for.
According to ABC10, the incident began when the elderly woman tried to call 911, but Halleib reportedly disconnected the phone. Living in a shed on the property, he initially confronted deputies outside before retreating inside with the woman and locking the house down.
