17-year-old goes missing in Roseville, prompting Feather Alert for Sacramento region

Authorities have issued a Feather Alert in the capital region for a 17-year-old Indigenous girl last seen in Roseville on New Year’s Eve.

Clara Bruno-Smith, a Wiyot citizen of the Bear River Band of the Rohnerville Rancheria, was last seen around 2 p.m. Dec. 31 near Gibson Drive and Roseville Parkway, the CHP said in its advisory. The alert was issued late Monday night for Placer, Sacramento, El Dorado, Sutter and Yuba counties.

Bruno-Smith is 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities said she was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black pants and gray shoes. The girl is believed to be on foot…
