A Yolo County jury convicted a transient father of murdering five of his infant children over nearly a decade, bringing one of Northern California’s most disturbing cold cases to a close after advances in DNA technology identified the victims and their killer.
The defendant, Paul Allen Perez, 63, was found guilty Tuesday of multiple counts of murder, along with one count of assault on a child under 8 with force likely to produce great bodily injury resulting in death, according to the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office.
