SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Natomas Unified School District has ended its contract with the Sacramento Police Department, prompting a shift in how student safety is handled on district campuses.
The agreement previously provided three school resource officers from the Sacramento Police Department to schools across the district. That contract has now expired, and district leaders say they were informed last year it would not be renewed.
