Chaotic scene in Sacramento: New video shows car crash escalate to fight, shooting

(FOX40.COM) — A newly released video from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office shows a chaotic scene that happened on Thursday night. At around 5:33 p.m. on Thursday, SCSO responded to the area near Fulton Avenue and Hurley Way for a report of a car crash that had escalated into a physical fight. While deputies were responding, they received reports that someone was shooting into a crowd.

Officers said that three suspects, Avieon Spencer, 25, Antwon Pace, 35, and a 14-year-old juvenile, had been driving erratically through a parking lot before crashing their vehicle, causing it to overturn onto its side. After the crash, Pace was injured while Spencer and the juvenile exited the vehicle.

According to SCSO, the suspects became upset after noticing bystanders recording the incident. Video footage shows a male who seemingly assaulted another male victim and robbed him of his phone. The identity of the assailant is unclear. A female victim was also assaulted, but the perpetrator was unsuccessful in taking her phone.
