ORANGEVALE — Two male juveniles were seriously injured Tuesday after a dirt bike crashed into a vehicle near an elementary school in Orangevale, with investigators reporting alcohol may have been a factor, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred near Trajan Elementary School when the dirt bike, carrying two juveniles, struck the right rear of a Toyota 4Runner that was turning into the school’s parking lot off Trajan Drive, according the initial California Highway Patrol report. Neither juvenile was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Both juveniles were ejected from the dirt bike and were transported to area hospitals with injuries described by CHP as possibly critical. Authorities later confirmed the driver of the dirt bike is 16 years old…
