“On January 2, 2024, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes detectives were notified of possible embezzlement involving Capital Public Radio (CapRadio).
A routine audit conducted by the organization of their financial accounts revealed missing funds. Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes detectives immediately launched a comprehensive investigation, which took years to complete, and now resulted in an arrest.
Fidias “Jun” Reina, 60, turned himself in at the Sacramento County Main Jail today. Reina was hired at CapRadio in May of 2007 as their Chief Financial Officer. In January of 2013 he also took on the role of Chief of Operations, ultimately becoming the Executive Vice President and General Manager in July of 2020.
