Union Pacific Railroad’s Big Boy No. 4014 steam locomotive is embarking on its first coast-to-coast tour this year in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. The west leg of the tour kicks off March 29.
The world’s largest operating steam locomotive will head west to California from Cheyenne, Wyoming, on March 29 for the west leg of the tour. It will end April 24 in Cheyenne, UP officials said in a press release.
The tour will make several stops along the route, with displays for the public planned for April 10-11 in Roseville, California, and April 18-19 in Ogden, Utah. The tour schedule is available here…
