Amazon apologizes, offers refund after $2,000 delivery issue| 10 On Your Side

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Sacramento viewer says a recent purchase from Amazon proved to be a major headache and left him out thousands of dollars. 10 On Your Side went to straight to Amazon for answers, and the company is now apologizing.

Danny Portman ordered a more than $2,000 outdoor bathroom from Amazon back in November. The site claims they delivered the product with a tracking number and an alleged photo of the delivery. But Portman says that photo they sent was a much smaller item on someone else’s porch, not his.

“And it said put on your front porch, and I’m like wait a minute. This thing weighs almost 500 pounds,” said Portman. “It’s 10 feet tall. Seven feet by 5 feet. That’s not going to fit on it. So I called up Amazon.”…
