Drunken Natomas Family Fight Ends With Son In Cuffs After Clash With Cops

What started as a late-night family dispute in Natomas ended with a son in handcuffs early Thursday, after Sacramento police say he punched his father and then turned his aggression on officers who came to the door.

Officers said the man appeared intoxicated and refused to cooperate once they tried to detain him. According to police, the situation escalated as he resisted, threatened the officers and ultimately landed in custody. No injuries were reported for the father or any officers.

Police account of the incident

Officers were called to a home in Natomas around 3 a.m., according to FOX40. The Sacramento Police Department told FOX40 that the man punched his father inside the residence before turning on responding officers.

Police said he fought with officers, “attempted to grab” an officer’s firearm, and threatened to shoot officers with their own guns. He was eventually detained and booked on multiple charges, according to the department.
