(FOX40.COM) — A male juvenile was taken into custody Sunday afternoon following a multi-agency pursuit involving a stolen vehicle that began near River City High School.
According to the West Sacramento Police Department, at about 1:30 p.m. officers responded to a report of a recently stolen white Mercedes near the school. Crews later found the vehicle as it was leaving the Target parking lot at 2005 Town Center Plaza.
West Sacramento police said officers tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver failed to yield which prompted a pursuit that lasted about eight minutes. The chase stopped after officers encountered heavy traffic and a construction zone, citing increased public safety concerns…
