Dragging cable, unsecured load leads officers to wanted driver in Roseville

(FOX40.COM) — Roseville police officers arrested a driver on a felony warrant last week after stopping a vehicle towing an unsecured load and creating a traffic hazard.

The Roseville Police Department said a day shift officer responded to a report of a vehicle pulling a trailer that was dragging items and producing sparks along the roadway. When officers found the vehicle, they conducted a traffic stop for operating with an unsafe load.

RPD reported that during the stop, officers observed a steel cable about 10 feet long dragging from the vehicle. They also determined that the oversized load on the trailer was not properly secured, posing a significant hazard to other motorists.

A records check showed that the driver had an outstanding felony warrant, according to Roseville police. The driver was taken into custody without incident…
