ELK GROVE, CA (MPG) – After about a year and a half in operation, the Amazon Fresh Market at The Ridge shopping center will soon vacate its space as part of a company-wide decision to close its physical Amazon Fresh and Amazon Go stores.
The company confirmed the closures in a Jan. 27 post on its news blog, stating the move is part of an effort to “prioritize investment in growth areas.” The company announced all Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh stores will close, with some locations expected to be converted into Whole Foods Market stores…
