Rancho Cordova departments earn multiple awards
The City of Rancho Cordova’s Human Resources and Finance Departments were named 2025 Capstone Challenge Award Winners by the National League of Cities. The award was presented at the NLC City Summit in Salt Lake City for a project that modernized employee information and payroll systems. The project, developed with UKG and PayTech, improved automation and made it easier for employees to manage their information.
The Finance Department also received two awards for its budget from the Government Finance Officers Association and the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers. The Public Works Department earned the Innovative Transportation Solutions Project of the Year Award from the Women’s Transportation Seminar Sacramento Chapter for the Chase Drive and American River Parkway Connection Project, which built a half-mile shared-use path from Coloma Rd to the American River with new lighting, crossings, and landscaping…
