East Sacramento Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Two Cars

A Sunday night walk in East Sacramento ended in tragedy when a man was struck by two vehicles and killed, according to the California Highway Patrol. Fire personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene, and CHP investigators responded to examine the roadway and begin their inquiry. Both drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities as the investigation got underway.

According to FOX40, the first vehicle hit the pedestrian as he crossed outside a marked crosswalk, and a short time later, a second vehicle also struck him. Emergency crews pronounced him dead, and CHP’s East Sacramento investigators are leading the probe. Officials have not yet released the victim’s name while they work to notify family members, FOX40 reported.
