(FOX40.COM) — A 55-hour lane reduction is scheduled this weekend on eastbound U.S. Highway 50 at the Interstate 5 interchange in downtown Sacramento as construction continues on the Fix50 project.
According to Caltrans officials, crews will be removing and replacing a joint seal assembly on the bridge deck across lanes three and four of eastbound Highway 50 near 8th Street. The lane reductions are set to start 10 p.m. on Friday and continue through 5 a.m. on Monday.
Transportation authorities said during the closure, eastbound Highway 50 will be reduced to two open lanes, lanes one and two, at the I-5 interchange toward 9th Street. Lanes three and four will be closed in the work area…
