New photos show oil clean up progress after New Colgate Powerhouse rupture

(FOX40.COM) — New photos from the Yuba Water Agency show the progress of cleanup efforts following a rupture at the New Colgate Powerhouse earlier this month.

According to the agency, crews have removed 54 bins of oily debris from the Yuba River since the Feb. 13 rupture.

One person was injured and thousands were left without power after a pipe that carries water from a nearby dam to the powerhouse suffered a catastrophic failure.
