Man faces life sentence for Sacramento robbery murder

Desean Brasser faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The victim, Charles Starzynski, went to a bank ATM in Midtown to make business deposits for a local food chain, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. An accomplice, Tajenae Cooper, followed Starzynski to a parking alley behind the Sutter Lawn Tennis Club.

As Starzynski opened his trunk, Brasser pulled up next to him with a firearm. The DA’s Office said a witness heard Brasser yell, “Give me the bag”. Brasser then shot Starzynski in the head after taking the money…
