Some Twin Rivers parents pull kids from school during teacher strike

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Some parents in the Twin Rivers Unified School District questioned whether it made sense to send their children to school as a teacher strike stretched into a second day Friday.

The district has kept schools open during the strike, bringing in substitute teachers while administrators and support staff help supervise students. With many regular teachers absent, the district warned parents that the school day may “look and feel different.”
