Natomas parent staging sit-in with child arrested at district office

A parent staging a sit-in at the Natomas Unified School District office was arrested on trespassing charges Tuesday afternoon, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

A video shows Sacramento Police Department officers putting Jessica Vroman in the back of a police vehicle outside of the district office as a crowd of Natomas parents, teachers and students chant “shame!”

Vroman, a Natomas parent, was staging a sit-in at the district office with her son, chronicling her day via videos on her Instagram. She said in a video that they were staging a sit-in until someone met with them about the ongoing teachers strike.
