A late-night collision between a big rig and a sedan at West Elkhorn Boulevard and East Commerce Way in Sacramento left one person dead Friday and shut down the busy Natomas corridor in both directions while crews worked the scene. The car hauler came to rest on the right shoulder of the westbound lanes, and traffic was blocked off as firefighters and law enforcement responded. The Sacramento Fire Department and other agencies were called in, the coroner was placed on standby, and officials have not yet released any names.
