Deputies responded to a shooting on the 4000 block of South Watt Ave in Rosemont around 9:45 AM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. A 28-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound and later died at the hospital. Detectives determined that 29-year-old Ricardo Hernandez argued with the victim before shooting him once and fleeing the scene.
Hernandez was arrested on March 18, 2026, and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges of murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
