The storefront was reported locked and unlit on March 18, taking a familiar late-night and lunch option off the map for nearby workers and visitors.
According to the Sacramento Business Journal, the company submitted a Chapter 7 filing, and the J Street restaurant appeared closed as of March 18. Reporter Melanie Nguyen noted that the filing is a Chapter 7 petition rather than a reorganization plan, which points to a wind-down rather than a reset.
