Estranged husband convicted of stabbing romantic rival to death in Sacramento

(FOX40.COM) — A jury has convicted a man of second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of a romantic rival, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.

The DA’s office said Arturo Hernandez was found guilty in the killing of Anthony Freas. Jurors also found true an allegation that Hernandez personally used a weapon in the attack.

Authorities reported that Hernandez was estranged from his wife when she began dating Freas. Officials said after learning of the relationship, he became angry and tried to contact his wife by phone one night; however, she did not respond…
