Masked ICE Agents Swarm Natomas SUV, Rattle Quiet Block

Neighbors in Natomas say a quiet Tuesday morning turned surreal when Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents surrounded a vehicle on their street, then moved on to a nearby home, leaving families rattled and kids in the middle of it all.

Video shared with local television shows agents rushing a gray SUV while a one-year-old child was inside, according to a family member. A neighbor described the encounter as aggressive and said the tension did not end there. Witnesses told reporters that agents later went to a nearby house looking for a relative, that one officer followed a resident to a Walmart parking lot before returning, and that officers stayed in the area for hours. Sacramento police could not confirm whether they were aware of the activity, and ICE did not respond to requests for comment, as reported by KCRA.

In February, the City Council’s Law and Legislation Committee advanced a resolution that would direct the city manager to develop a policy limiting ICE activity on city property, CapRadio reported.

Residents say the incident underscored their push for clearer rules on when and where ICE can operate and for stronger accountability from local leaders…
