SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Hundreds of arrests, dozens of guns seized, and thousands of grams of drugs taken off the streets — that’s the impact of a major crackdown in the Sacramento region.
The Office of Governor Gavin Newsom said CHP crime suppression teams made 241 arrests in the region over the past year, including 167 felony cases. Officers also recovered 39 stolen vehicles, seized 27 illegal firearms, and confiscated more than 26,000 grams of drugs, including meth, cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl.
