Rang Coffeehouse, a pop-up favorite around the region, looks ready to settle down in South Sacramento. A “coming soon” sign at 7411 W. Stockton Blvd. teases a Rang Coffeehouse in the plaza that previously housed Crab N Spice. If that sign is on the mark, it would be Rang’s first standalone Sacramento shop after a run of pop-ups and collaborations.
The development was first spotted by the Sacramento Business Journal, which reported that a sign at the storefront reads “Rang Coffee is opening soon” and identified the address. The outlet did not report an opening date or any comment from the company.
Pop-up origins and Elk Grove ties
Rang has been building a loyal following through weekend pop-ups and collaborations tied to Rose Tea Lounge. According to Rose Tea Lounge, Rang operates as a sister concept and has served matcha and specialty coffee out of the Elk Grove location. An event listing for March 8 on Mato also shows a Rang Coffeehouse pop-up at Rose Tea Lounge, backing up the brand’s pop-up schedule.
Where the storefront sits
The 7411 W. Stockton Blvd. unit has long been associated with Crab N Spice, and the seafood spot’s website still lists that same West Stockton Boulevard address. If Rang takes over the space, it would slot into the former Crab N Spice unit in that strip mall.
What it adds to Sacramento’s coffee scene
If Rang follows through with a permanent shop, it would join a steady flow of specialty coffee and tea concepts arriving in the region, from homegrown startups to out-of-town chains. Local coverage tracking new cafĂ© openings, including plans like Matari Coffee’s Midtown outpost, shows Sacramento is still a growth market for niche coffee and tea spots…
