The claim puts another local operator in the mix for a building and brand that has been woven into Sacramento’s nightlife since the 1930s. Musicians and regulars say what happens to the room is a test case for a small stage scene that already feels like it is shrinking.
Mason Starbird says he is part of buyer group
Mason Starbird, a local bar manager whose credits include 8-Track and The Cabin, told the Sacramento Business Journal that he is part of a group purchasing Old Ironsides. His work at 8-Track and other Midtown projects has previously been profiled by Sactown Magazine.
