Pasty Shack to close permanently after 74 years serving East Sacramento

A beloved East Sacramento pasty shop is closing this month, according to an announcement made by the business on Thursday.

The Pastry Shack on 4746 J St. will close Friday, April 24, having served Sacramento since 1952, its website said. The family-owned business sells freshly baked and frozen Cornish, Bavarian and Mexican pasties.
