A late-morning collision at a busy North Sacramento intersection turned deadly on Saturday, leaving one person dead and five others injured after a multi-vehicle crash at Marconi Avenue and Marconi Circle, according to police. Emergency crews shut down the area for hours while investigators worked the scene and drivers were urged to steer clear.
The Sacramento Police Department said officers responded shortly after 11:30 a.m. to a report of a crash involving three vehicles. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and five others were taken to local hospitals and are expected to survive, as reported by KCRA. The cause of the wreck is still under investigation, and the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the person who died once relatives are notified.
