(FOX40.COM) — A man convicted of torturing and severely abusing a 2-year-old child was sentenced to seven years to life in prison, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.
The DA’s office said Miqueas Romero-Soto was sentenced Friday by Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Helena Gweon after a jury found him guilty of two counts of child abuse causing great bodily injury and torture.
Jurors also found aggravating factors, including that the victim was particularly vulnerable and that Romero-Soto abused a position of trust, authorities said…
