A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of Solano, Yolo, Sacramento and San Joaquin counties on Friday for ping pong ball-size hail. The warning expired at 3:30 p.m.
Hail of that size was observed in the Solano County city of Rio Vista, according to the National Weather Service.
