Man in viral video faces multiple felony charges after Solano County home break-in

FAIRFIELD, Calif. — A Fairfield man is now facing multiple felony charges after a viral caught-on-camera incident involving a home break-in and threats.

Court documents show Jason Nichols, 30, is charged with first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats and vandalism. Nichols was arrested after he allegedly tried breaking into the home of a woman and child on April 7. Police said he tried to kick in the home’s front door before later going through a sliding glass door.

The complaint said Nichols assaulted a person with a shovel and made threats that caused fear for safety. Prosecutors also allege he damaged property, including the sliding glass door…
