(FOX40.COM) — A jury has convicted a man of carrying out a series of armed robberies targeting people in parking lots outside retail stores, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.
The DA’s office said William Ellis was found guilty of seven counts of robbery and one count of felony evasion. Jurors also found true allegations that Ellis personally used a firearm in each robbery, along with multiple aggravating factors.
Prosecutors said the crimes occurred during three separate incidents in July and August 2023. Ellis used a revolver to threaten victims and steal jewelry and personal belongings, including wedding rings and family heirlooms, as they were getting into their vehicles…
