High temperatures in the Valley are expected to top out near 73°F before easing off a couple of degrees later in the afternoon. Winds out of the south-southwest should stay on the lighter side, generally 3 to 10 mph, with a few higher gusts possible in more open areas. The valley floor is still expected to dodge most of the showers, with the best shot at any storms focused over higher terrain rather than the lowlands, according to NWS Sacramento.
