(FOX40.COM) – The CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Track and Field Championships took over Hughes Stadium at Sacramento City College on Saturday. Thousands of athletes from across the region competed for a spot in the Masters Championships to move one step closer to the CIF State Track and Field Meet.
This marked the first year all divisions shared the same venue for the section finals.
In the girls 400-meter dash, sophomore Mya Johnson of Lincoln-Stockton claimed the section title with a winning time of 55.91 seconds, the fastest mark of the day. Johnson currently ranks top-15 in the state…
