Sacramento security guard charged with shooting alleged burglary suspects, police say

(FOX40.COM) — A security guard who fatally shot a burglary suspect and injured another has been arrested for voluntary manslaughter, the Sacramento Police Department said.

Around 4:30 a.m. on May 8, two men suspected of breaking into a marijuana dispensary in the 8500 block of Thys Court were shot by 55-year-old Joseph Mills of Sacramento.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene and the second man arrived at a nearby hospital in stable condition, police said. The identity of the deceased man has not been released…
