ST. LOUIS – An 18-year-old is in custody for allegedly shooting at a man who caught the teenager breaking into his car.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the shooting happened just before 7:50 p.m. on May 23 in the 4500 block of South Compton Avenue, located in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood.
The victim told police he was sitting in the front room of his home when he saw that the lights were on inside his car. The victim went to his front door a saw someone in the vehicle. He yelled for the person to leave, but the suspect began firing at the victim…
